The ‹Summit of Cheap Laser Graphics› pools creative artists from various areas: Design, illustration and visual communication. The aim is to promote and popularise young designers and graphic designers. The hybrid exhibition event wishes to establish a new communication model between the artists and the audience: Works of art that are easily accessible and affordable for everyone. An event between serious art and commercial entertainment.
Over two event-packed days, 120 laser graphics by 120 designers, illustrators and comic-strip artists from all over the world will be exhibited on the walls of Museum Tinguely. All the artwork will be produced and reproduced on standard A4 paper using normal LaserJet printers - the printers will be working away nonstop in order to print off an unlimited quantity of the graphics. Each printout can be purchased for just CHF 2. Five extremely successful exhibitions have already been held in Belgrade, Amsterdam and Berlin. 350 works of art were shown and sold. This is a unique opportunity to purchase works of art - for yourself, as a gift, or to simply throw away without a second thought.
In collaboration with TURBOSUTRA Art Collective, Belgrad; Museum Tinguely, Basel and the project ‹Enter Views on Crisis› of the institute HyperWerk (FHNW), Basel
