Milorad Šule Jovović is a guitarist from Montenegro who plays various jazz and fusion styles. He is particularly fond of interpreting and jazzing up the sounds of his homeland: Traditional Montenegrin folk songs. Šule Jovović founded his first band in 1997. He is considered to be one of the few promoters of jazz in Montenegro. He studied at the Montenegrin Academy of Music in Cetinje - where an annual jazz festival has been held since 2010 - and currently teaches at the ‹Vasa Pavić› Music and Ballet School in Podgorica. He has performed with various ensembles at home and abroad (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, the Ukraine, Norway) and played with renowned musicians, such as Stjepko Gut, Duško Gojković, Nikola Mimo Mitrović, Miša Krstić, Miša Blam, Lazar Tosić, Sinan Alimanović, Ladislav Fidri, Miko Aleksić, Vladimir Maraš, Vasil Hadžimanov, Rambo Amadeus, François Jeanneau, Linley Marthe, Mikan Zlatković, Pat O'Leary and Gabrielle Stravelli. Besides the guitar, Šule Jovović also plays the piano. During his concert at the bird's eye jazz club in Basel he will play jazz standards and traditional folk songs from Montenegro.
