Pavao Mašić (*1980 in Šibenik) is a Croatian harpsichordist and organist. He studied Harpsichord, Organ and the Theory of Music at conservatoires in Zagreb, Freiburg and Lausanne. The focus of his studies was on the interpretation of works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods on historic instruments. The award-winning musician regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician at prestigious music festivals in Croatia and around Europe. He has already collaborated with numerous national and international artists and ensembles. He is currently a teacher of harpsichord and basso continuo at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. Moreover, he has been the chief organist of St. Mark's Church in Zagreb since 1999. Mašić's latest activities have a particular focus on the organ works of J. S. Bach. In 2010/11, he performed, together with the organist Ante Knešaurek, Bach's complete works for organ in a series of 17 concerts on the large organ of the ‹Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus› in Zagreb. This was the first time that this type of work had been performed in Croatia.
