‹The Time of Women› reflects the history of Russia in the 20th century through the destinies of four women who wish to protect a child from the watchful eye of the Soviet state. The moving story of Antonina and her small daughter, who live in a communal apartment with three older women, is also a lesson in the power of the collective and the touch of human kindness.
