Together with Elena Tupyseva, the director of TsEKh, Moscow's first dance agency, CULTURESCAPES presents a ‘triple evening' featuring the current works of young Russian choreographers.
The dancer and choreographer Olga Dukhovnaya and the video artist Konstantin Telepatov explore the emotional dead-ends which confront couples in relationships in the multi-media performance <Interview> and discover unique ways to escape through dance. The dainty St. Petersburg ballet dancers Artem Ignatjev, Anastasia Kadruleva and Konstantin Matulevskiy from DVA find themselves plunged into the thickets in their ironic search for their inner selves <Through the Forest>. With a touch of humour, the ensemble manages to create a choreographic vocabulary via an imaginary world of nature and animals. The performer Alexander Andryaschkin, who was born in Novosibirsk, uses his interactive performance to receive instructions from the audience, thus abolishing the division between the stage and the auditorium.
