The 25-year old journalist and anarchist Anastasia Barburova was murdered in a Moscow street in January 2009 along with the human rights lawyer Stanislav Markelov. The story behind this case and the struggle to solve this double murder become tangible during interviews with colleagues, family members and friends. Valery Balayan asks questions about the individual and social opportunities and conditions to develop physical resistance and moral strength. The interviews are intercut with disturbing images and haunting statements from those groups against which both victims, driven by a deep personal conviction, fought with peaceful means, but without sufficient support from the Russian government and society.
