A man, a woman, a summer romance! Sascha and Volodja have been torn apart by war and forced to communicate through love letters. An apparently normal situation - until it becomes obvious that these letters are not being written at the same time - that the lovers are separated by time and space. After ‹Maidenhair›, this is yet another masterpiece by the celebrated Russian author Michail Shishkin, who was born and raised in Moscow, but is now based in Switzerland. In Villa Grunholzer, the «new Tolstoy» will read from his latest love story ‹Letter Book›, which brings forth the essential questions of human existence. The author will later discuss the art of translating literature with Andreas Tretner. The evening celebrates the start of close cooperation between Villa Grunholzer's literature section and the Translation House in Wernetshausen bei Hinwil and guarantees a highlight of the coming literature season.
