Alexander Brodsky is an architect and artist from Moscow and probably the most fascinating figure in Russia's contemporary architecture scene. Born in 1955, the qualified architect was a leading member of the «Paper Architects», an opposition group in the Soviet Union in the 1980s. His recent poetic buildings and installations are a key element in the search for a new Russian identity.
The event in S AM Swiss Architecture Museum includes an introductory lecture on the current status of architecture in Russia, followed by a lecture by Alexander Brodsky and a post-lecture discussion. Finally, there will be a photographic exhibition in S AM of Alexander Brodsky's most important buildings to date.
