‹Volcano› is a heartbreaking portrayal of a lifelong relationship: Hannes is an old, reserved man, who takes more care of his boat than of his family. The gulf between him and his children is enormous, and the communication with his wife is limited to the very minimum. It is not until his wife receives a dramatic diagnosis, that Hannes is finally jolted awake; but by now it is almost impossible to prove to others that he is also a human being with feelings. A somewhat different, undoubtedly truthful love story, that will touch all those who have been confronted with an illness of a partner or a parent.
The supporting film ‹Revolution Reykjavík› is an award-winning and impressive short film about the impact of the economy on our private lives.
