The four friends had already been working together in different constellations for various projects, so when they officially founded their band in 2008 it felt like just the next logical step. Since then ADHD has released four highly acclaimed albums, the first of which (‹ADHD›) was promptly crowned ‹jazz album of the year› at the Icelandic Music Awards. They are currently on tour around Europe with their fifth album, which was recorded in Ivar Ragnarson's Sundlaugin Studios. The songs are a dynamic mixture of jazz and rock, sometimes melancholic, cheerful, drastic, and everything in between. «What's special about ADHD is their very particular ‘Icelandic' sound. Considering the incredible warmth and depth of the musical timbre, it seems as though the band summons geothermal energy from their homeland. Intelligent, memorable melodies and sensual phrasing take care of the rest» (Contemplate Music).
