As an integral part of international youth culture, Hip-Hop no longer
simply refers to a style of music, it also covers a lifestyle which transcends
political and cultural boundaries. In Azerbaijan, Rap has a traditional role model: Meykhana, a rhyming competition to the tune of old melodies and
rhythms. In a joint concert given by the Azerbaijani combo HOST, the Turkish-Swiss formation Makale and the Swiss musician Greis, Orient meets Occident, West meets East - Rap meets Rap.
