"I am not one but two. Have you always been?" - "Always." - "Can you see me?" - "Yes." - "But I can't see you..." - "I know."
We accompany HIM - a man with two sides. We become part of his life that consists of two worlds and learn about his relationship with a woman. Rena Gely takes us into a complex universe of inner conflict and musically confronts us with a schizophrenic personality.
The young composer, who was born in Moscow in 1977 but grew up in Azerbaijan, was trained, amongst others, by Frangiz Alizade and Arif Melikov. The chamber opera is Gely‘s debut as a director and a truly crowning finale to her studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). To celebrate this joyous occasion, she has invited fellow young composers whose works will also be performed on stage during the evening.
