Rosarte Children's Choir, conducted by Rosie Mastrosavva
The Rosarte Children's Choir consists of 230 children and young people between the ages of 5 and 20. Especially for CULTURESCAPES, they collected songs and melodies from the countries of origin of the migrants in Athens’ refugee camps. They present this program in Lucerne with the guest appearance of the Lucerne Kantorei (October 25) and in the Yehudi Menuhin Forum Bern (October 26). The Basler Girls’ Choir also collected songs and melodies from the countries of origin of migrants in the region. In the Theodorskirche (October 28) the two choirs present a joint program. The Rosarte Children's Choir was founded in 2008 by the conductor Rosie Mastrosavva and since then has been very successful both nationally and internationally. It is the first Greek child-ren's choir to win two world championships: in Graz in 2008 and in Riga in 2014 (for which the journey was financed by a crowdfunding campaign in Greece).
