In May 2010 the conditions for EU- and IMF-assistance were accepted, and general strikes and protests dominated the streets of Athens. In the midst of this crucial phase of the Greek crisis, Rimini Protokoll's Helgard Haug and Daniel Wetzel compiled an ensemble of 103 Athenians, representing quite accurately the statistical average of the population of Athens – including age pyramids, social disparities, as well as an estimated mean of three per cent illegal migrants. «Statistics become faces as a highly differentiated topography of the city emerges, a mosaic of groups and individual fates, with all its contradictions and truisms.» (nachtkritik.de) The auteur Athina Tsagari documented this unique evening in the 4000 viewer capacity Amphitheater Herofion. With the created film Helgard Haug and Daniel Wetzel developed a lecture-performance format, where a number of the originally involved Athenians (in alternating cast) "emerge from the screen", live, reseize their personal contributions in the theatre film and question them anew according to their present perspectives.
