The Greek organist Ourania Gassiou is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied with Nicolas Kynaston, receiving scholarship of the Onassis Foundation. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed across the United Kingdom and Europe, as well as at major international festivals, including Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Riga Cathedral, Barcelona Cathedral, the Women of the World Festival (Royal Festival Hall, London), and was a prize winner at the International Organ Competition in St. Moritz. Since 2011 she has been curator and organist of the Athens Concert Hall. In the Basler Münster, she will play a versatile program with works by Charles Tournemire, Louis Vierne, Einojuhani Rutavaara and Yannis Konstantinidis within the framework of the ‹In-ternational Organ Concerts› series.
