With Donatienne Michel-Dansac (singing) and Marcus Weiss (moderation)
For the opening of the DIALOGUE concert series (a production with the Hochschule für Musik Basel), French singer Donatienne Michel-Dansac (soprano) sings and performs the music theater play of the experimental Greek composer Georges Aperghis. The two have been working together since 1992, when they met for the first time in the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre, for the produc-tion ‹Sextuor, l'origine des espèces›. «Donatienne Michel-Dansac, the muse of the composer Georges Aperghis, whose cheeky virtuose sopransoli works she sings, chants, yodels, trills, and roars with wild understatement. Sometimes she whistles and sings simultaneously.» (Süddeut-sche Zeitung). A conversation with Donatienne Michel-Dansac lead by Marcus Weiss follows.
