Conceived and Directed by Daniel Landau ‹reside 1.1› is a unique project combining live performance and documentary film examining the relations between immigrant communities and the society they immigrate to. The performance takes the audience to ‹Jessy Cohen› - an immigrant neighborhood in Hulon (Israel) - where new immigrants and veteran immigrants live a tense reality, mirroring many of Israel's internal social conflicts.
The documentary materials are projected onto large masks with dancers acting as their bodies - bringing an inventive use of video and movement that explores new forms of installation and performance art.
