Áfram með smjörið, ran an die Butter war das Motto der dreizehnten Ausgabe von CULTURESCAPES, die dem sagenumworbenen Inselstaat Island gewidmet war. Rückblickend lässt sich äusserst zufrieden festhalten, alles im Butter! Bekannte  Namen gaben sich sozusagen die Klinke in die Hand: Jón Gnarr, Ragnar Kjartansson, Daníel Bjarnason, Andri Snær Magnason, Sóley, GusGus oder der Kammerchor der Schola Cantorum Reykjavicensis. Über 20’000 Menschen haben die rund 110 Veranstaltungen in und um Basel sowie in 16 weiteren Städten der Schweiz und in Lörrach besucht.

Damit der Abschluss nicht schlimm wird, haben wir Anekdoten-Adventskalender gebastelt. Zu verfolgen auf FACEBOOK und INSTAGRAM.

<Culturescapes Iceland> explores the cultural landscape of the island in the North Atlantic focussing history, language and trauma. In Iceland, literature is particularly closely related to history and has strongly influenced the young nation.
