Opening: Alex Baczynski-Jenkins «Such Feeling»

The Polish-British artist and choreographer Alex Baczynski-Jenkins works at the crossroads between performance art and dance. He develops vocabularies, ranging from micro-gestures and poems to choreography and minimal stage sets, in order to trace queer desires, affects and love. His practice is specifically concerned with the bonds between affection, distraction, lust and loss, while touching upon alienation and collectivity. For the first time, Kunsthalle Basel is showing a video piece by the artist, which was created especially for this exhibition, and three performances on three consecutive weekends.
