Curated by Ines Goldbach, this group exhibition deals with historical questions and their influence on current events. Piotr Uklański's «Poland» assembles photographs taken in his homeland since 2015, as well as photographs of symbolic sites of the Polish diaspora. Anna Molska's video works show performances with ordinary people instead of actors. This practice gives her work authenticity and natural spontaneity. Anna Ostoya's works connect the past with the future: The complex and multi-layered work challenges viewers to deal with various topics and to reflect on their own current experiences. Last but not least, video works by Artur Żmijewski are part of this exhibition, to which CULTURESCAPES also dedicates a retrospective.
With works by Maja Bajavić, Sabine Hertig, Cécile Hummel, William E. Jones, Zoe Leonard, Hanne Lippard, Anna Molska, Anna Ostoya, Katja Schenker, Dorian Sari, Piotr Uklański and Artur Żmijewski.
