Contemporary choreographies from Poland: In «Pure gold is seeping out of me», Renata Piotrowska-Auffret examines the yearning for motherhood and what happens if this desire cannot be fulfilled or is restricted by legal regulations. A Polish critic wrote: «The polyphony of voices is a response to the public debate on recognising women’s rights as human rights. In Poland, this demand continues to meet with incomprehensible opposition.»

Paweł Sakowicz «Jumpcore» loosely refers to the legendary death of New York dance artist and Warhol actor Fred Herko: In 1964, he invited guests to an intimate performance, where – according to accounts – he took a bath, turned on Mozart’s Coronation Mass and began to dance naked in the living room. He approached an open window several times. When Sanctus resounded, he ran and jumped out the window of the apartment on the fifth floor. Ballet dancers are said to believe they can fly. And indeed, suspended for a second in a jump, they do.
