The correspondent Ryszard Kapuscinski reported on the Iranian Revolution in 1979. At that time, Andreas Hoessli lived as a research fellow in Poland, where mass strikes and the independent trade union «Solidarność» were soon challenging the communist party and state power. Forty years later, the award-winning director returned to Poland and also travelled to Iran to interview eyewitnesses of both revolutions and subsequent generations. The late Bruno Ganz narrates this fascinating film essay.
