Jarosław Tarnawski (*1980) began his master studies in 1999 in the organ class of Prof. Elżbieta Karolak at the music academy of his hometown Poznań. This was followed by two years of study at the Katowice University of Music with Prof. Julian Gembalski. From 2010 - 2012 he studied with Prof. Arvid Gast at the Musikhochschule Lübeck and his subsequent studies (concert examination) at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Prof. Dr. Martin Sander in 2016. Since the beginning of his career Tarnawski has given many concerts and attended various master classes. He has won several prizes at international organ competitions and during his studies he received two scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and one from the Possehl Foundation for his studies in Germany. Since 2004 he has been teaching at the Music Academy in Poznań, where he received his doctorate in 2014. The success of his pedagogical work is reflected in numerous prizes of his students at various organ competitions.
